Fun and Engaging Foreign Language Lessons for Children

Child learning how to speak another language

Do you want your child to learn Italian, Spanish, French or German for a holiday, a move abroad or just for fun? Do they need extra help with English or grammar?

I am able to offer fun lessons for pre-school children and older ones. They can learn on their own or with siblings, in a relaxed and fun way, with music, games, colouring activities and so much more. Your child will gain confidence in speaking and understanding another language and soon be able to show off all they have learned to you. The curriculum is created with you, the parent, and your individual child/children in mind and is flexible, allowing them to get the most out of the sessions. Maybe your child is already bilingual, having lived abroad or having a parent from another country – why not provide additional language support to make sure he/she remains confident in the language and can perhaps consider taking a qualification in it at the appropriate time? Contact me, Elizabeth Lake today for further information and guidance on 01603 260869 – you can look forward to seeing the enjoyment and confidence that learning a foreign language can bring!

Frequently Asked Questions

I teach children from the age of 4 upwards.  The content of the session will depend on the child’s age, any previous knowledge of the language, and will take into account their interests and abilities.

I do teach siblings together and this can be a positive thing, as they encourage one another to also practise their newly-acquired language skills at home.

If a child is young, I encourage the parent to stay, as this is reassuring for the child.  This also allows the parent to see what is being done, so that the child can be encouraged to speak the language at home.

As a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, I adhere to their Code of Conduct. I have an enhanced DBS certificate, as well as professional indemnity and public liability insurance. I am also GDPR registered.
